Version 1.5 clarifies the skin catalog and adds a planned launch gift of the purple Starlight Grimoire Cat skin and its icons for qualifying early app purchasers. Existing app and paid-skin use and restoration rights are not reduced. The app has not yet been publicly released, and its actual release time and gift purchase cutoff remain unset. This English summary is provided so English-speaking users can understand the material terms. The complete Korean terms above are the governing text if the two versions differ, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Read the complete Korean terms.

License and permitted use

• A one-time payment grants the right to continue using the version of Bunyek purchased. There is no subscription or per-translation charge, and business use is permitted.
• The standard appearance and three free skins are included in the app. Eleven cosmetic skins are optional non-consumable in-app purchases, purchased separately for each skin in addition to the app license. Translation features and the number of translations are the same whether or not you purchase a skin. Skins have no subscription fee. Purchased skins can be restored. Skin Family Sharing follows Apple's policies and each product's App Store settings.
• The eligible user, devices, and any Family Sharing rights follow the terms of the store used for purchase. Family Sharing does not arise where the distribution does not actually provide it.
• The license does not transfer ownership of the app. Reverse engineering, redistribution, resale, and rental are prohibited. A one-time purchase does not guarantee unlimited future features, support for every future operating system, or technical support forever.

Planned launch gift — not yet in effect

Supported app: the first public release, version 1.0 (build 44 or later).
The app has not yet been publicly released. The actual initial public-release time and exclusive purchase cutoff (UTC) are not yet set.
The first App Store availability time and its exact 30-day cutoff will be announced after that availability is confirmed. This document's publication/effective date is not the app-release or gift-start time; publishing this document does not activate the gift.

• The purchase cutoff is exactly 30×24 hours (2,592,000 seconds) after the first public release. Customers whose Apple-verified original app-purchase date precedes that cutoff, including preorders, receive the purple Starlight Grimoire Cat skin and its iPhone/iPad Home Screen and Mac menu bar icons without additional payment. A purchase date exactly at or after the cutoff is excluded. Comparison uses absolute UTC time, not the device timezone, current clock, or first-launch date; the window does not restart for each customer. The granted gift has no separate expiry and is not withdrawn merely because the qualifying purchase window has ended.
• Eligibility is based on the original app-purchase date verified by Apple. A qualifying purchaser can be checked again after the campaign ends, including on a first app launch, reinstall, or restore. Initial verification may require Apple's purchase information and the signed common public schedule. Production grants require a verified final schedule; a pending document or temporary verification failure does not authorize a new grant. A verified final schedule and confirmed gift entitlement are stored locally for offline use, as described in Privacy Policy.
• Customers purchasing the app after the qualifying window can use the existing non-consumable in-app purchase for this skin. While eligibility is unknown, a separate purchase of this skin is also held back to avoid an incorrect charge. The campaign does not change other skin prices or translation features.
• The gift is recorded separately from paid skin purchases. Existing valid purchase, Family Sharing, and restoration rights remain intact. A verified app-purchase refund or revocation, or a different purchase record, causes the app to reassess gift eligibility. A gift decision alone does not remove a separately purchased skin entitlement.

Purchases, withdrawal, and refunds

• The paid app is sold only through the App Store. Apple receives, reviews, and pays refunds; requests must be submitted through reportaproblem.apple.com. Beek cannot issue an App Store refund directly but can explain the process and provide supporting information.
• Under Korea's Electronic Commerce Act, a user may withdraw a purchase within seven days, although withdrawal may be restricted once delivery of digital content has begun. If the app cannot be used normally because it fails to provide advertised functionality for a reason attributable to Beek, the user may request a refund regardless of that period.
• The separately distributed Chrome extension and Native Messaging host are free companion components for use with the app and are not separately sold products.

Requirements and service limitations

• Minimum versions for the main app are macOS 15 and iOS/iPadOS 18. Safari's selected-text translation and the separately distributed Chrome feature require macOS or iOS 26 as applicable. Older supported systems display a version requirement instead.
• Translation depends on Apple's on-device Translation framework. A first use or new language may require an Apple language-pack download. There is no separate cloud translation fallback. Availability can vary with the language, installed assets, operating system, and device resources.
• Camera translation processes one still photo rather than continuous live video. iPhone, iPad, and Mac conversations work only while the relevant app screen is open.
• Machine translation can be inaccurate or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Legal, medical, contractual, financial, or other high-stakes content must be reviewed by a qualified professional.

Support does not certify translation accuracy, and the one-time license does not promise indefinite updates or support.

Bunyek does not automatically send translation content or usage information to Beek. A support email and its attachments are handled under the Privacy Policy.

Liability, changes, and governing law

To the extent permitted by law, Beek's liability is limited to the amount the affected user actually paid for the app. This limitation does not apply to Beek's intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Changes are announced on this page at least seven days before they take effect, or 30 days before an adverse change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are brought before a court with jurisdiction under Korean civil procedure law.
